BOOM! I’m Back.

Hey everyone, sorry that I’ve been MIA for the last couple of months.

I wish I could say that I’ve been working on my World War One story, “The Green Cross,” during that time, but I haven’t. I’ve kind of let my enthusiasm for that story fizzle out. I feel a bit ashamed about that.

But recently I’ve been dealing with my job and really intense writer’s block, which meant that I barely worked, if at all, on any writing projects. Now I have some time on my hands and what better way to spend that time than to get back to writing!

I’m putting “The Green Cross” on hold for now, but I am working on a new, yet-untitled project that I’m excited for. It takes place in the same place as “Four Firewoods” (available here), the sleepy East Texas town of Langston.

Unlike “Four Firewoods”, the project I’m working on is more of a mystery-thriller than a traditional literary short story. I hope to finish the first draft of my story (and get a title for you) by the end of March.

Thanks,

Martin
